I have always loved to create something beautiful.   A native Californian, I was six years old when I won first place for my color crayon picture in the Haggin Museum’s Children’s Art Show in Stockton, California. The same year I made doll clothes for my dolls on my mother’s sewing machine (which was, of course, off limits!).  For 32 years I taught high school, including classes in sewing, needle arts, clothing design, textile design, interior design, and food artistry.

For the past three years, I have been learning and creating in a new area: metalsmithing/jewelry. I have studied with the very best metal jewelry artists and teachers in the country. Most of my jewelry has been in sterling and fine silver.  Recently, I expanded my studio and will now be adding high karat gold to my work.

It is fun and exciting to take an idea, play with it, sketch it, and then create it. I don’t mass produce-that’s not fun.  Some of my designs might be similar, but they are never the same. I am continually evolving and so are my designs!

I enjoy working with people to create a custom piece of jewelry. A great pleasure for me is to see  my jewelry being worn on someone who truly loves and appreciates it.
